I hope it’s a safe bet to assume that Electronic Musicians and producers are also audiophiles. With that in mind, I present the Audio Xciter app from Aphex. The app promises to provide your smartphone with “clarity and detail normally only heard in the studio“.

Producer Alan Parsons says “The Audio Xciter app brings musical detail to life, no matter what style of music you’re listening to. You will hear increased clarity, along with space and detail, that will impress anyone,”

The app is available on a free trial – which limits the user to 15 minutes’ listening time per day – with upgrades at $4.99/£1.99 removing that limit, and $9.99/£5.49 adding “pro” features such as custom EQ sound sculpturing (replacing the limited number of presets available in cheaper versions).

All in all this is one nifty piece of smartphone software that deserves a listen!
